The Experience

Australia’s Leading Health and Detox Retreat

Set amongst 145 acres of lush countryside in the UNESCO-listed Noosa Biosphere, Living Valley feels a world away from daily life, yet what makes it truly different is what happens during your stay.

Whether you’re looking for a simple reset, a healthy holiday, or a more structured, naturopath-led program, your experience here is designed around you.

For those wanting deeper support, our naturopaths guide your stay with personalised recommendations and care. For others, it’s about stepping away, slowing down, and giving your body the space to rest and restore.

Your days are thoughtfully guided, but never rigid. You’re free to join in, or take time for yourself, knowing everything is there to support you.

It’s this balance of professional guidance, personalised care and genuine space that allows you to reset, feel better in your body, and return home with something you can actually maintain.

A Day at Living Valley

Your days at Living Valley unfold with a natural rhythm, designed to support you without feeling structured or overwhelming.

You might choose to begin with a guided walk through the hinterland or a light stretch and flow class, or simply ease into the morning in your own time and enjoy the stillness around you.

Breakfast is served from 7:30am, followed by a relaxed morning where you can spend time however you feel called. Some guests head to the steam room or cold plunge, others take a swim or find a quiet place to unwind.

As the day continues, fresh juices are served mid-morning, followed by a nourishing lunch, giving your body consistent, balanced support.

Afternoons offer a mix of experiences, from gentle movement classes like Tai Chi to health talks and practical sessions such as our Saturday cooking demonstrations. Many guests also use this time to enjoy treatments in our day spa, including massages and facials, adding an extra layer of relaxation to their stay.

There’s always space between everything, so the day never feels rushed.

Evenings are calm and grounding, with early dinners and time to wind down. Throughout the week, you may find yourself gathered around the fire for a letting go ceremony, or heading out for a walk along Noosa beach.

Every part of the day is there to support your wellbeing, while still allowing you to settle into your own pace.

Arrival Day

For guests joining us on a 7, 14 or extended stay, arrival is typically on a Sunday, allowing you to settle in and ease into the experience from the very beginning.

Your first day is designed to help you unwind and feel at home. After arriving, you’ll have time to settle into your room, explore the grounds and take in the surroundings.

You’ll be welcomed with a tour of the retreat, often hosted by our owner Giselle, giving you a chance to become familiar with the space and begin to feel part of it.

You’ll then enjoy a nourishing lunch before receiving your personalised treatment schedule for the week ahead. Everything will be clearly explained, so you know what to expect while still feeling relaxed and unhurried.

There’s also time to connect with other guests in the main centre, or take a moment for yourself. You might choose to visit the steam room, take a swim, or simply slow down and ease into your stay.

As the afternoon settles, you’ll ease into your first evening, with dinner served and the space to fully unwind and settle into the rhythm of your stay.

Naturopath-Led Personalised Support

For guests taking part in our deeper health support retreats, such as the Power Cleanse or Pure Detox, your stay is naturopath-led and includes one-on-one consultations, ensuring everything is guided and tailored to your individual needs.

For those joining us for shorter stays, such as a 3-day reset or healthy holiday, naturopath consultations can also be added as an optional extra, allowing you to personalise your experience to the level of support you’re looking for.

During your consultation, your naturopath will take the time to understand your lifestyle, health history and goals, allowing them to tailor recommendations specifically to you.

Where relevant, this may include insights from tools such as live blood cell analysis and body composition testing, helping to build a clearer picture of your overall health and wellbeing. These insights are also shared with our kitchen, ensuring your meals are thoughtfully prepared to support your individual needs.

From here, you’ll be guided with simple, practical recommendations to support your time at the retreat and beyond. Nothing is overwhelming or overly prescriptive, it’s about giving you clarity, direction and support in a way that feels manageable.

Supporting Your Body Through Detox

Your body already knows how to detox and restore itself, it just needs the right conditions.

At Living Valley, we create an environment that supports this natural process through nourishment, rest, targeted therapies and, for some guests, guided cleanse programs.

For those joining us on retreats such as the Power Cleanse or Pure Detox, your stay includes a structured, naturopath-led approach designed to support your body without extreme restriction.

Rather than fasting on water alone, this approach combines wholefoods and targeted nutrition with a period of supported cleansing using juices, smoothies, protein-based drinks and broths. This allows your digestive system to rest, while still providing your body with the nutrients it needs.

This approach is designed to:

  • Support your body’s natural elimination processes
  • Maintain energy and muscle
  • Avoid the stress often associated with extreme fasting

Everything is guided and adjusted to suit you. Combined with treatments such as steam therapy, movement and rest, it’s designed to leave you feeling lighter, clearer and more energised, without feeling depleted.

Real Guest Experience

“When I first arrived, I was completely exhausted, mentally, physically and emotionally. I hit a wall and needed rest. Just one week later at Living Valley, something shifted. I felt renewed, clear-headed and more in tune with myself than I had in a long time.

The detox program played a major role in this transformation. It helped me slow down and become mindful of how I nourish my body. My meals went from rushed and reactive to slow, intentional and deeply satisfying.

This experience has been a true reset. I’m lighter, stronger, and more connected to myself than ever before, and I now have the tools to carry this forward at home.”

– Jude, 14 Day Pure Detox

Food & Nourishment

At Living Valley, food is not an afterthought, it’s a central part of the experience.

Led by our Head Chef Rowan, every meal is thoughtfully prepared using fresh, seasonal and locally sourced ingredients, with a focus on whole, unprocessed foods that support the body while still feeling deeply satisfying.

Rowan brings a wealth of experience to the kitchen, from her early training through a specialised apprenticeship with Hilton in Scotland, to working across restaurants in Western Australia and as a private chef abroad. Her approach is grounded in real food, authentic flavours and a genuine passion for using food as a foundation for healing.

Her cooking draws on a diverse background, blending influences from Asian, Indian, Middle Eastern and European cuisines. You’ll find vibrant, savoury dishes layered with herbs, spices and depth of flavour, meals that feel nourishing, balanced and enjoyable, not restrictive.

At its core, her philosophy is simple: food is medicine. Each dish is designed to support your body, while still allowing you to enjoy the experience of eating.

Whether you’re here for a structured cleanse or simply looking to reset, meals are tailored to complement your stay, leaving you feeling satisfied, energised and supported throughout the day.

Facilities, Experiences & Optional Enhancements

Beyond your structured inclusions, there is a wide range of facilities and experiences available for you to enjoy throughout your stay.

At any time, you can make use of the retreat’s spaces, whether that’s a swim in the pool, time in the steam room, or a moment to reset with the cold plunge. These are there for you to access freely, allowing you to move through your days in a way that feels natural and unhurried.

For those looking to go deeper, a selection of additional therapies are also available. This includes options such as infrared sauna sessions and hyperbaric oxygen therapy, designed to further support recovery, relaxation and overall wellbeing.

You’ll also have access to the Waterlily Day Spa, where a range of treatments can be added to your stay. From massage to facials, these treatments offer an opportunity to slow down even further and experience an added layer of care.

Whether you choose to keep things simple or explore everything on offer, your stay is designed to give you the space, flexibility and support to create the experience you need.
