Equine-Assisted Therapy

Have You Ever Considered Spending Time With Horses
As Part Of Your Wellbeing Journey?

Equine-assisted therapy combines counselling with the unique presence of horses, creating opportunities for reflection, self-awareness and personal growth in a peaceful outdoor setting.

For many people, being surrounded by nature and animals offers a chance to slow down, become more present and reconnect with themselves. No riding experience is required, and there is no expectation to interact with the horses unless you feel comfortable doing so.

Whether you’re navigating a challenging period, seeking greater self-awareness, or simply curious about a different approach to wellbeing, equine-assisted therapy offers a unique experience that combines nature, connection and guided support.

What Is Equine-Assisted Therapy?

Equine-assisted therapy incorporates horses into the counselling process as part of a guided therapeutic experience.

Sessions take place outdoors in a natural setting and are tailored to the individual. Together with your facilitator, you’ll spend time observing and interacting with the horses in a way that feels comfortable and appropriate for you.

There is no riding involved. Some guests choose to simply observe the horses and enjoy being present in their company, while others may participate in gentle activities such as grooming or leading exercises.

Each session unfolds naturally, allowing space for insight, reflection and meaningful conversation.

Why Horses?

Horses communicate differently to people.

As highly perceptive animals, they respond to body language, energy and non-verbal communication. Their ability to remain fully present in the moment can encourage us to do the same.

Many people find that spending time with horses helps them slow down, become more aware of their emotions and gain insight into patterns that may otherwise go unnoticed in everyday life.

Unlike human interactions, horses respond without judgement or expectation, creating a unique environment for self-exploration and reflection.

Who Can Benefit?

Equine-assisted therapy may support people who are navigating:

  • Stress and overwhelm
  • Anxiety
  • Burnout
  • Grief and loss
  • Life transitions
  • Relationship challenges
  • Low confidence or self-esteem
  • Emotional awareness and regulation
  • Personal growth and self-discovery

Others simply choose the experience because they are drawn to horses, nature and the opportunity to explore wellbeing from a different perspective.
